Hello all,

Just asking for an opionion... I am the owner of a 2000 GLE who's engine is making a clanking type noise. I brought it in to the dealer who after looking at it told me that the noise is a bad power steering pump. Replacement is $650.00. I no I can get the part on line for around $250.00 so does $400.00 in labor sound like alot to anyone else?

I had exact same problem. Mine's 2k GLE also, u should get that fixed ASAP cuz my friends around me would tell u wut happen to me......one day we were caravaning to the meet in NJ and me and couple of Philly guys hav to pull into the rest stop in turnpike and all of sudden one of the guys who we were suppose to meet at the rest stop was like "Yo, what's that thing ur dripping" and than I lost all my power steering fluid and lost the power steer and I had to car pool to the meet wit my friend to the meet. btw it costed me like $850 out of my pocket. you hav the exact same problem as I did b4.....g'luck
