ECM Replacement
Where is the best place to buy a replacement ECM for my 2000 Nissan Maxima? Should I go to the dealer to buy and replace it or order one and install it by myself (heard it's very easy)? If you know of any websites that sell them please post them here too. Thanks

Why ECM? Long story but here we go. A buzzing noise was coming from the engine for a couple of seconds after I turned the car on, off, switched from Neutral to Drive to Reverse etc. Didn't bother me for some time but when I took it to the dealer for checkup they said it's the front motor mount. I let them replace it for $300. Next thing i know the buzzing noise is still there so after about two weeks i took it back and told them to fix it right this time. They kept it there for a day, then called me and said that they consulted with Nissan technicians in California to come up with this:
I have to replace the rear motor mount, if the buzzing noise won't go away then I have to replace the ECM. If I refuse to do the repairs then I have to sign a statement that if the car catches on fire I can't sue Nissan!!!
Now I don't know what to do. I called Nissan but they won't help me at all because the car has almost 100,000 miles and is out of warranty. The dealer won't even consider helping me to pay for the repairs, even tho the car is unsafe to drive. Should I sue Nissan?? What are my options?

Did you replace the rear motor mount?
If not, do it. Yes, the liquid filled mounts are electric and can ground and short out the ECU. However, why replace the ECU before the mount and if the ECU isn't broke?
