It should work, but I think the steering control interfaces are different

Well apparently a 2k1 Bose HU fits into a 2K2 as I've found out (bought a used 2k2 and the steering wheel controls didn't work, dealer says it's cuz the HU is NOT a 2k2 head unit). So, it probably would fit - just a question where did you get your hands on a 2k2 HU and what'd you pay for it? I'm looking for one.

Thanks.

Ryans Maxima - what are 'all the problems with that HU'? I don't know them and I'm looking to replace the unit I have in my 2k2. Maybe some of these issues are why mine doesn't have the original HU.

Man I would go with something else if I were you. I've still got my BOSE head unit, but I'm not really happy with it. It skips a lot when it's cold outside, and it makes noise. Unless you can find an OUTSTANDING deal on one, get something else. Just my .02

2k2 have issues with channels cutting out, CD cutting out, and sometimes distortion. I know some who have had 3-4 HU's replaced. I'm on my 2nd HU now due to a CD mechanism problem that is unrelated to the issues others have had (yeah, I cause it myself).

You can find them on ebay for around $250 or so.
