Does a 5th gen have a limited-slip?
I tried the search feature but it's tuned off. Does a 5th gen have a limited-slip axle? I know some Nissans do and I think Nissan was the first to introduce it on the Sentra SE-R back in the late 80s/early 90's.

Some 5th gens do. I think they were the "Titanium Edition".

My 5.5 gen has LSD and it doesn't have the titanium package. It's just an 02 SE.

i think all 5.5 SE's do but the 5.0's only have them in the SE-AE. i could be totally off here.

how can i tell if i have LSD?

LSD as in limited slip differential.....not the other one....

i have an 02 SE and it doesnt have a LSD..i think it was an option though, for the 5.5 gens

From what I understand, all 20th AE's come with the VLSD std with TCS being an option. My AE has VLSD but no TCS.

my tcs light come on when started but i do not have it i ask nissan about getting it put in they blew me off saying they dont do that, whatever.

Look at the metal plate on your firewall for the transmission code. That will tell you if you have LSD or not.

2001 SE AE's have VLSD standard. 5.5 gen 6speeds had HLSD available on a later built date.

for the 2003 maximas if the gas, brakes, and clutch have the medal it means the car
has the lsd. I know because thats what I wanted and the dealer had to bring the car out of town for me.

Do a burnout. If you get two tire marks instead of one you have LSD.
