Well, I think there's a limit to how old of a thread they should dig up. It's great that he searched and all, but this thread originated in April 2001 -- four years ago. There's a good chance the original posters don't post on this forum anymore, and the pictures that the original post links to don't exist anymore.

If the last similar thread is 4 years old, then I think you should be able to post a new thread without getting screamed at for being a newb, not searching, etc.

it shouldnt matter how old a thread is... after all how old is my car?
ive had it for a few months, and would rather follow FAQ's that are already set up, then search google for "decklid rattle 02 maxima"

and to the moderators...thank you for the information i found on this thread

The cut off date for bringing post's back from the dead is 6 months. bringing a thread back from 2 years ago is just stupid, and it had been 4 years since it was first posted.

i understand if the thread was about a technology that has since been updated, as that would be "old"...but a rattling deck is the same today as it was 4 years ago, and guess what, the fact that other people have responded OTHER than the person who brought it up from the dead, shows that it does contain some value....the deck is still the same, the dampening procedures havent' changed.
