Car sputtering
My fiance just informed me that her car feels like it is going to die. I have driven it just one time and it feels like there is no fuel getting to the motor. When you step on the gas it sputters and then it will get going. I do not have a way to pull codes from the car outside of paying the dealership $XX to do it. What would possibly cause this? Would it be the coil packs? Or could it be the fuel pump or something? I have read that there is a TSB on the coil packs for that particular year but I am not sure if that is what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The car is a 2000 with about 8X,XXX miles on it. Thanks.

any air leaks? This was happening to me today and stupid me forgot a screw in the VIAS (when i was doing routine inspection) lol. Stupid me. Anyways, either that or the dreaded coil problem. Go to autozone or something and i heard they pull codes for free.

I am going to be headed there tonight. I changed the plugs last night and now, according to my fiance, the cars runs a little worse. What happens is it will start up and then runs rough. After a little while, 30 seconds to 1 minute, it runs just fine at least that is what I experienced. How do you know the coil packs are bad, other than just changing them out?
Also are there any known problems with Champion platnium spark plugs?
Another question I had was do the "wires" connecting the coil and plugs ever go bad? The spring in one of the was awfully loose and rattled around quite a bit and that is what made me think of it. Thanks.
