2001 GLE lacking power at 66k??? suggestions

My 2001 GLE has only 66k on it and has always been maintained properly. The check engine light has not been on in about a year since i needed an O2 sensor. Recently it seems to lack power taking off when i get on the on ramp of a highway. It used to kick up to over 5,000 rpm and just go, now it hits about 4,000 and is quick but not he same. No lights are on though?? What could this be??

so it's probably not the timing belt or coils then? that's what i'm most concerned about.

does not really sound like coils. when they go you usually have a problem starting the car, hesitation when you hit the gas (nothing happens), and rough running.

i would do a tune-up and see if that helps.

replace sparkplugs
replace filter (if stock)
clean filter (if intake)
chain oil
clean throttle body
use BG44K for injectors
use seafoam for intake manifold

Get a new MAF sensor along with all the stuff Soonerfan mentioned. BK44K can be bought at alot of local car dealers, do a search online for any local dealers who use this stuff. My luck the near by Dodge dealer uses BG44K.
