Noise from the ECM?

Car is a 2000 maxima. I just came home from driving it and after turning the car off, I hear a buzzing sound coming from the engine bay. I probe around, eventually started pulling fuses. I pulled the fuse marked 'Engine Cont 2' Which I imagine stands for engine control and the nosie went away. Could this noise be coming from the ecm? What could cause this noise? The car drives prefectly fine, accessories work, but yet, I can still here the buzzing, almost like a motor still running. I disconnected the battery in case this sort of thing would drain it.

Anyone have this problem before?

I believe that noise is the engine mounts. I think there is also a tsb for it.

How could it be the engine mounts? I'm pretty certain this noise is electrical, with battery disconnected, noise goes away. The noise doesn't go away which is why I had to disconnect the battery while it's being garaged.

Any other ideas? Thanks for the quick replies.

Thanks for the link. But it states, vehicle exhibts a buzzing noise for several seconds. On my 2000, the buzzing won't go away at all, even with key off, engine off. Does anyone know what that fuse is protecting? Are the mounts connected to fuse ' Engine Cont 2 '?

Thanks

the engine control unit (ECU) controls the motor mounts (along with hundreds of other things). so removing that fuse turns off the ECU which stops sending the signal.

Even with key out it stays on, lol. I was probing with a stethoscope, but couldn't hear a damn thing that sounds like the buzzing. Just ear, it does sound like it's coming from around the mounts or something else towards the bottom of the engine. If it is the mounts, I hope tha's all it will be. Don't wanna have to replace the pcm.
