'01 Grill Insert??

Does anyone:
-have pics of an 01 Maxima with a center bumper grill insert?
-know where to get them?
-know if they will fit with the AE bumper?

Thanks.

Instead of spending 80 bucks, can I just buy some mesh and cut it myself to fit? Has anyone done this, and if so, how difficult is it?

I just need the lower grill so that shouldn't be too hard to fabricate. Plus, I found one online for 50 bucks which isn't too bad. I like the look of the stock upper, so I was just thinking of adding some wire mesh to the bottom part.

instead of buying the grille-tech one, just do the home depot gutter grill

How difficult is it to get the wire mesh and just do the lower grill myself?

Plus- BLKMAX, where did you get your grill? I like the look.

For the lights... does it really make you see worse at night like they all say?

I got both upper and lower grills for free They were used, but I sent them out to get power coated silver. The power coating is only going to cost me $50 for both.

installing the grilles are a biatch because you gotta remove the whole front bumper cover on the 00 and 01 max.

i tried doing it myself with 1 of my friends, and we just gave up.

i paid 75 to have them installed, i really like the look tho, not too ricey but aggressive enough.

here some pics of mine:

Friend of mine used a grille off a 02 Max he got on Ebay and got it to work after triming it down. It looks really nice- better than the Grille Techs here. He just needs to remove the stock grill from behind it, so that you can't see it. The 02 grille is flat and doesnt bubble out like the ones for the 00-01s.
