your 03 has the digital odom showin how many miles you have left till empty rite, but those things are most of the time off by a little. I no a friend with an 03 too he can never go by that odom, it's usually wrong for some reason.

 

I was down to less than a quarter of a gallon....17.78 on a fill-up. I think I went about 100 miles with the light on.

 

now there's a risky guy! LOL I wouldn't really ever try to go that long with my max. Cuz you really never no wats in left in the ******* tank. You give a little kickdown more speed here and there and there goes about 2-3 gallons. IF you know what i mean.

 

Dang and I thought I had the record at 17.8 gallons. Actually the tank in the A33 is rated at 18.5 gallons but my car will NOT run or start on anything less than that 0.7 gallons.

To answer the origional question, IIRC I have been over 60 miles after the fuel light came on but I made very efficient use of that last few gallons of gas.

 

I have never seen my fuel light come on. I always refill before it thinks about lighting up.

 

I refilled with a little over 18 gallons. So, I think i have the record.

 

You got a fundamental error on your calculation. 375/18=20.83. Anywhere close to 16.9???

 

Oh for $%^st's sake, running out of gas is not a big deal, Happens all the time. I always set one odometer when I get the fuel waning just so I know how far I've gone. I figure it's good for between 50-80 miles. Once I get over 50 miles I get a little auntsy and start looking real hard for gas stations and not being picky! I figure that 65 miles is probably the limit. The tanks are all a bit different in shape and hold different values of petrol, some may be 66L others could be 61L

i did like 55 miles with it on. i was coming from detroit to chicago and the light came on right before i got into illinois. when i filled up I put in 16.6 gal. when the light goes on and i fill up it's usually ~14.5. all highway though.

 

i've brought it so low the DTE flashes 4 bars... I know there has to be a reserve in there becuase when i fill up its always at 14.5g or 15.0... edmunds says i have a "Fuel Tank Capacity: 18.5 gal." so i think you can push another 50-60 miles out of the car depending on your driving assuming those 3.5g are a reserve

 

Hey guys what are you getting to a full tank? I've noticed my mileage is going down. About what should it be? I used to get about 330-350 to a full tank.
