Steering wheel replacement

I have to replace my steering wheel.. It is all scratched and looks like crap..... Will the 01 airbag fit the 02-03 steering wheel housing? Will an 02-03 "complete" be used in a 01? I Need one badly...

Thanks to all

are aftermarket steering wheels a choice? or are you just looking for an OEM replacement. i dont see why the 02 steering wheel wouldn't fit 01's.

I rather stay with OEM... but the 02-03 I think is different than the 00-01, not sure though. The airbag connector, I don't think is the same..... maybe someone can abswer this one .....

I have a 02 SE steering wheel in my 01, I got one for free from a friend of mine. He purchased a set of airbags on Ebay for his crashed 02 Max 6spd and the wheel came with the airbag set. My GXE had no leather wheel and the wheel was really worn out after 100K so I decided to swap out to a leather one, no problems with it and I love the feel of leather. I wanted the heated wheel, but unfortunally its not. Since it was free I can't complain.

00 Maxima steering wheel is not the same, and the airbag from a 00 will not fit into a 01-03 wheel BTW. 00 wheel is pretty much the same as the 97-99 4th gen SE wheel, they share the same cruise controll buttons and airbag even.
