03 Side marker re-wire

Does anyone have a write-up and/or pictures of the side marker re-wire for the 03 wiring scheme? I would like the side markers to blink with the turn signals. thx

Check the Install/How-to sticky at the top of the first page. I'm pretty sure it's in there.

The link doesn't work. I found some directions from Mingo but his car is a 2000 and the wire colors change each year. That's why I specifically asked for anyone with an 03. It's a pretty decent mod plus it adds safety so I'm surprised that no one has tried it.

yea I did to my 02. its simple dude theres a blinker near by the bumper light. in the front the blinker in the headlamp, and in the rear is the tai light blinker. all you have to do is cut the positive wire to the bumper light and splice it to the positive on the original blinker..... do that to all four..... in the front you have to run a two foot wire or so from the blinker to the lamp.... just slide the wire down to the bumper light through the fender. if you look you will see how to do it..... simple mod don't need a write up just common sense...

positive from bumper light to the positive on the original blinker.... need about 8ft of wire thats all......

one more thing, *****NOTE******* they won't stay on after you do this. you will only make them blink from a off position. they won't turn on unless the turn signal is activated.

i was able to do this re-wire on both of my 3rd gens. It was pretty basic wiring/splicing, but i cant imagine it being much different here. On both 3rd gens, the side markers stayed on and would blink with the blinker. I'll have to back track and remember how I did it. I worked on 4th gens too because I did it to MaxedOut's 4th gen back in tha day!

Thanks for the replies. I haven't looked at the wire colors yet so I don't know which is power and which is ground. I guess a voltmeter would tell me, but I'd rather know before I take out the side marker and start splicing. That's my big issue, the wire color scheme. I'll look at it this weekend.

yeah i was wanting to do this to, but if they dont stay on, i dont think im going to...if anyone has a write-up (that works) and can say that they do stay on, as well as blink with the blinker, that would be awesome...thanks

Pretty simple if you want them ''on'' and blink when the headlight's blinker blinks, just splice the positive wire front the blinker in the headlight and weld the negative wire of the side marker to it.... so when your your lights are ''off'' both the blinker from the headlight and the side marker will blink at the same time...when you turn your lights on and use the turn signal light, as the blinker gets positive current, the ''negative'' wire from the side markers gets positive current too...so the side marker will turn off cause he received positive current from both wires....when the blinker goes ''off'' your side marker will turn ''on'' again...basically that's how to do it

By the way, hi from a NB from Québec City, Canada and sorry if my english is not very good ! ;o)
