Hu on Bose System

Sorry for my ignorance, I found a reference to the "hu on the bose sytem" in cars that have speakers cutting out

My '02 gle usually gets no or very little sound from the right speakers when I play a cd, I usually have to try inserting and ejecting the cd over and over. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Is the problem I have the same known issue?

Im assuming hu = "Head unit" (Ok some im a total audio newb) =)

Is there a fix or recall? Can anyone point me to a solution to this problem?

How much will it cost to fix?

Thanks

It's a well known issue and I believe it's a warranty issue. Check the TSB stickie and visit your dealer to start the arduous journey of multiple Head Unit replacements.

If this happens only when trying to play a CD, then you probably do have the infamous BOSE HU problem. This is covered by a TSB if your car's VIN falls within that range. Print out the TSB letter and go to your nearest Nissan dealership.
