there are some generic ones on ebay, but im sure theyre just the same...i havent heard of them cracking from the cold before, there must have been something that hit them, and since they were so cold, they were fragile...what i suggest you doing is getting lamin-x or something similar to put over them. The fogs on my car were cracked when i got it, and since then, i bought new ones and put lamin-x on them and so far, no problems...although it doesnt get NEARLY as cold as it does where you live there, it gets below freezing and still no problems..

After three sets of fogs I stopped changing them. The ones I have in there now have been cracked for almost 6 months.

well there is a design problem forsure as I heard many stories of them cracking . Nothing hit them at all ,they cracked sitting in the driveway. There has to be something nissan will do to look at this ****ing problem.

It must be a new problem because I have not heard that before. How cold has it gotten up there? I know for the rock issue some of us have tried the 3M clear plastic coating to protect the glass. I don't know if that will help but it's a cheap enough mod that can't hurt.

Ouch, 3 sets???? After the 2nd set, I would've picked up some GXE blank inserts and not bother any more.

So far, I only have a 'rock-hit' crack in one lense. But, it's barely visible from >5ft, so I'll live with it for now.

like i said before...i dont think it can crack from just being cold as someone stated before...the cold does make it more fragile, but something has to hit it in order for it to crack...and there is no way of telling it cracks "in your driveway" unless you sit out in the freezing cold staring at your foglights all day...so there had to be another reason for it cracking

Glass will break very easily if it undergoes a rapid temperature change. Try taking a glass jar out of the freezer and run it under hot water. It will break unless it's Pyrex, and even then it may break.

I'm guessing he turned on the foglights when the air temperture was -25° or -30°C and those bulbs heat up really quickly.

I've gone through 2 sets of foglights, and 1 set cracked with Armour Sheild film. They are very fragile, but I think that it is rapid temperature changes that kill them. A very poor design

Yeah, so if you were driving with the fogs on, parked in your driveway and turned off the car, I can see them breaking. Probably going from 100°C + to -30°C quite rapidly, especially given the wind. My advice: do not use your foglights at all until spring if you don't want to keep replacing them.

There is some company that makes a thick plastic film (its not 3m)...that should help with the cracking. Also, keeping them dry when its cold out is a MUST.

If it's cracked and you don't mind looking at it - keep it the way it is. I've had one cracked and the other with a crack + hole for as long as i've owned the car (3 years now).

Driven through flood water, gone through snow and rain and it hasn't failed on me yet. Amazing how much more dependable the glass on the bulb is compared to the foglight housing lens.
