How loud is berk intake?

For those of you that have berk intake on a 02-03 maxima, can you tell me if its real loud, medium loud or moderate loud at wide open throttle? I had an injen replica of ebay and that thing was real loud at wide open throttle, I hatted it. I want an intake that is not real loud, just a little more throaty then stock. Also can you feel power gains with berk? and is there any loss of torque in the low end? Thanks.

At WOT, its fairly loud & deep which myself and many others will say is the main reason they like this setup as much as we do. I have felt no low-end loss at all. It's a bit tough to give you an accurate discription of its level of "loudness" as there is no basis for comparison, but overall, I am quite pleased.

Personally, I can only tell a difference in sound when accelerating, especially at WOT. When cruising at any speed there is no noticeable difference in sound. If there was, I wouldn't have kept mine on.

It doesn't sound like firecrackers in a coffe can does it? Cause thats kinda what my injen replica sounded like.

How much are berk intakes? Are there different models available and can you buy them without the filter?

i have only heard a couple of injens, but i would bet that the shorter berk would be a lot louder. My shortie is a lot louder than most cold air intakes, especially at higher rpms. The longer the tube, and the more air between the throttle body and air filter, the lower the tone will be, and it will promote more low end torque. I can say I noticed a slight loss of low-end torque with the intake, but it's hardly noticeable, more in the junkamatic cuz it stays low rpms all the time. The shortie is the best intake to go with on the max, it already has plenty of torque, and the loss in negligible, and only below 2k, which my car never is.

No, its not even as loud as a real Injen intake.... its medium loud, to me... for current prices... PM Bryan (COBYMOBY) and ask him.. and yeah... you can buy the set-up w/o the filter... just discuss that with Bryan....
