Hi I have had the SES light on for about 3 months on my 2001 MAX SE so I finally bought a code reader and pulled up and cleared a 0420 code which is a catalytic emissions above threshold bank 1. Does anyone have experience with this?

Currently I have the extended up to 75000 mile warranty but I only have 800 miles left on it. Will it be covered by that warranty? Also since I just cleared the code will they take my word for it that it for certain had that code? Or is it stored somewhere on the car CPU? Any help would be greatly appreciated my main concern is not driving past the warranty period if it is indeed covered by warranty.. THANKS!
