I haven't used a Weapon R on a Maxima, but a lot of the guys on the Sentra forum where I used to hang out bought them for their Spec-Vs. The Weapon R products tend to be decent, and they usually fit right. Their designs seem to be copies of other name brands. The filter you get with the intake may not be the best, but that's easy to replace. If the price is right, go for it.

I think they spent more money on the design of that photo than they did on the actual R&D of that intake :P

Just wondering why everyone hates on Weapon R so much. I know that the foam filters tend to breakdown and can get stuck in your intake, but it probably wouldnt make it past the screen on the MAF, right? Doesn't a lot more air get through foam filters over normal filters?

When the foam deteriorates it WILL go past the screen and probably screw up the MAF and your engine. I switched to the Apexi. The Dragon filter "looks" nice but that's all it is... "just looks".

I'm currently running an Injen w/ the apexi.

Not only a lot more air. It also allows a lot more dirt from the air to get through instead of doing its job and filtering it out. And then the filter itself will disintegrate and become VQ35 food.

Sorry for jacking the thread right now, but How do you fit an Apexi filter into an Injen? I have an Injen and was thinking about changing the filter. I was thinking about going to a Ractive Filter, but have heard many good things about the Apexi? Would the Apexi just go onto the the Injen with no problems?

Its supposed to bolt up to the back of the MAF, so unless you know of someone that makes an adapter plate for it to be able to connect to the 3" tube via a silicone hose, then there is no other way.

Apex'i filters dont flow, ive yet to see proof that they do.

Monsterflow and K&N, however do. And the differences between the two are a wash.

Also, I have never seen a monsterflow disintegrate...HKS is another story though.
