You can pick one up from Autozone or the like and simply tap into a 12V source...I think that is all that you would need, but I may be mistaken on that.

I ordered one from Nissan but it wouldn't fit.....they told me that it is the right part # for the Maxima....they also said that they don't make cigarette lighters for my year Maxima.... it only come with a plastic cover that say 12v on it....then I just got mad and start yelling at them.....then they just gave me a brand new whole assembly and now I got to pull the whole thing out and install the whole thing.....I don't wanna pull something out and break it.....I also went to autozone and pepboys.....they don't really make any good looking ones....I got mine at nissan for like $15...now I got the whole cigarette lighter kit for free......looks like I only pay half......I shoulded told them give me something else instead.

Ok I bought my 02 new & made the dealer give me the assembly. I just had to install myself. It sells for 25$ from the dealer & comes with ash tray lighter assembly & instructions... I'll find my instructions & scan & post.. Pretty eash just have to pop out console around shifter by removing screw in ash tray & pulling up take wires off 12v socket push tabs in there are 2 inside 12v socket & push out it comes with new trim ring but I reused old one just push lighter element in & install the way you removed it...

Start by pulling up around shifter then pull towards you...also if you have Nissan lighter & you live sorta close to me we can meet halfway & I could show you...
