Keys
You have to be kidding me. The cost to get a new key and click is insane
57 just for the key
127 bucks for the clicker and 80 bucks to program it.
I know the clickers are on ebay and can be purchased cheap as well as be programmed easily but what do I do about this stupid key?!?
I apologize in advance if this is a seachable thread. I don't have the cash right now to buy searching rights after i dumped 16 K for this car.

It's not hard to program your remote since it's in the owner's manual but i take it that you don't have an owner's manual. I never heard of 80 bucks to program your remote, geez, it doesn't even take 5 minutes to do it, less than two minutes is simple. What a big rip off

I programmed my own remote. Courtesy's write-up isn't entirely correct. I emailed them but they never said anything back. The key get off ebay. I got two and they both work. Have to have locksmith do it. Definately do not go to the dealer for any of this.

Most locksmiths don't have the ability to program chipped keys. At least that's the case here in NYC.
Dealers appear to be the only option.

I bought mine on ebay and had it programmed at the dealer for 35.00 dollars, Then I took my girlfriends car and the Service manager wouldn't do it because it was an after market key go figure. So watch out that you run in to a service Manager like I did.

I found a locksmith in here in Houston that will do one key for 49 bucks and 2 for 59. That seems like a good deal. I wish it was like in the early 90's where cuttign a key was $2.99 and the only thing you had to worry about was if you got a black top to the key or if it was bare.
