Brake Lights wont work...Please help!!!!

My tail lights are on, but my brake lights won't come on. At first my driver side bulb comes on sometimes, I would fidle with the bulb and it would work again. So it finally went out and I replaced it. Then weeks go by and then my passenger side tail light goes out. I then replace that bulb, they light up when I turn my lights on; but now neither of my brake lights come on. The only indication that I'm braking is the brake light on the wing. I have heard that the electrical harness (Where the wire goes in to the harnest and the harnest is connected to the bulb) may be bad and needs to be replaced. Is that true? If so what's the part number? Please help!!!!!

I just bought my Maxima and it looks like I am having the same issue with the passenger side rear tail light... First nothing... Replaced bulb and worked fine. Then drove 5 miles. Now, no brake light but driving tail light still works... I would be curious on this too

did you put the right bulb in? the stop / tail bulb is a 21/5 watt bulb. make sure
you put the right one in and not the turn signal bulb.

This should be in the FAQ-U stickie

Push the bulbs into the sockets until you hear them click in place. If it doesn't click, it will not make good contact.

Thanks Alot...I finally heard the click. Now all I need to do is figure out how to fix my headlight. The passangerside Headlight won't come on at first. But after 10-20 minutes the bulb comes on.
