Hey guys this is prob a stupid quistion but i a couple time went to all the way on E for gas to calucalte my MPG correctly today my gas light turned on and it says 29 DTE i know "TE" stands for till empty what does D stand for

SO 29 stands for miles>

 

yup, 29 miles, but that i think is based on your MPG that it figures out, which is apparently not very accurate, so take that into consideration when pushing the car to its limits.

 

Its not very accurate at all. I've went all the way down to 0 on the DTE and I still only put 16.5 gallons in.....our tanks are 18.5 gallons. When the gas gauge starts flashing there is normally about 4 gallons left in the tank too.

 

I drove 10 miles with the thing reading ---
So thats what you have left when its THAT LOW.
If it blinks you should fill up ASAP.
