Wheel Bearing on 03

Has any one had any problems with their wheel bearings going bad. I had a high pitched noise coming from the front of the car that got louder as I went faster. Dealer replaced one of the front wheel bearings a month ago. The noise is now back. Roughly 40K miles. Any one have a similar problem?

My understanding of wheel bearings is that the hub will get very hot if the bearing is going. Have you checked for this?

I had a problem with my 2nd gen and the front wheel bearings. The reason I mention this is that I had to really work hard to convince my dealer that this was the problem. After they stroked me for $800 on other unnecessary parts they finally gave in and replaced the bearing (problem went away - I don't go there anymore). Hope you have more luck.

Common problem. The stock/OEM replacement front bearings are total junk...
