As to the rims...well....G35's use them in the winter, don't they?? That said, I plan to use my SE rims come next winter. I'll probably keep the Falkens on them and then switch to Dunlop Wintersport M3 the following winter (those things are $$$$$$$ though)....
I know you're very anti-Falken and that's fine by me....but I'm certainly not ruling out getting them again, I was satisfied with the previous 2 sets I've used (especially considering I can get them for around $100 each) and if the Toyos wear too fast, or suck in the rain, or perform poorly when 50% worn (all of which remain to be seen)...I would have no problem with getting 512's again.....But I really don't want to turn this into a thread on the 512's....there are enough of those already

I understand, you got the fever. I can't blame you for that. I am still shopping for summer tires myself and can't decide whether to stick to 225 or go off spec up to 235. Man I wish Nissan had stuck to a more common tire/rim size (get all the toys you want now before you get that "money pit" house of your dreams). For now, I got the M3s on 16" steelies and I like them (we'll be getting some snow tomorrow too). So far, I recommed them, but they are a bit noisy when the roads are damp/wet.

btw, if you're putting them on your OEM 17's...definitelyl go with the 225's....the 235 sidewall is too angled to provide good support (i've had both, and it's night and day difference)....
so I'll see you guys next January j/k, but no more big mods for a long while....gonna have to stick to the cheap home depot mods for a while.

1. They won't rub with people in the back.
2. The front will rub when wheels are turned to full left or right lock.
3. KEEP THE DUSTCAPS ON! Once you pull them off you will see the delicate components the caps cover. A little hammering and all will be fine.
4. Cleaning them is much easier than the stock SE wheels.

sorry for the OT post, but i just have to say that lumbee, your car looks great!! i love that color, and of course the G35C's
i have a question though...how are those wheels easier to clean than the stock SE's wheels?? they have more spokes and sharper angles, so i would think it would be harder to clean..

Spokes on the G35C's are much thinner than the SE's. I can use my car wash mit to wrap my fingers around the spoke. It is also much easier to reach past the spokes on the G35C's to clean the rest of the wheel.
That is NC legal 35%. Llumar Platinum Plus - looks dark and shiny at some angles and non-existent at others

Wow, Irish and Lumbee, that looks awesome! Lumbee, you car is also my wallpaper now. hehe
Last year, I was going to get those rims myself actually, but I couldn't find any that were in my price range. I searched the G35 forums and eBay. Oh well, I'm quite happy with my EVO5's.

maxfive-0, not sure who you were asking, but the center caps I'm using are from some '00 GXE/GLE maxima rims (the ones that look like hubcaps), and are a perfect fit.....didn't wanna keep using the infiinity centercaps.....the GXE/GLE centercaps are all-chrome (but as you can see I painted them to my own taste, didn't want the chrome)...

I must say I didn't like the first couple pics of those rims on the max. But when I saw the last one from the back, it's pretty tight. I guess it's the rounding in of the spokes that I didn't feel...When looking at them from the side they really look good. IMO I think it's because the max doesn't have the same light-body build as the g35...

on a side note, I'll have pics up next week of my car on the 04 G-coupe 17x8/7.5's, which I will be using for auto-x next weekend. My SE rims are sold since they don't fit over my 6th gen front brakes
