reverse light bulbs
I just got tints on Monday (15%) and when I reverse its kind of hard to see depending on how lit that area is at night. I was wondering where would be the best place to get a pair and what kind.

I put my old H3 bulbs in with a little modification. You have to carefully strip away the metal retainer and some of the glass around the 2 leads of the bulb. They don't wedge in there like the stock bulbs do, but they stay once you mess with the leads a little. You can't any brighter than H3.

the polarg 921 bulbs are brighter, but thats just because the light is more white then the yellowish white, but it looks much better than stock bulbs. I dont know about the H3 bulbs in the reverse....

As mentioned before the proper sized bulbs only realy function to alert other cars that you are in reverse, and dont project much light, but two 50w H3 bulbs put out a lot of light behind the car, blows away the polarg, there realy is no coparing the two. There are pics showing h3s at night on a older thread about this topic about two months ago
I am pretty sure i am the first one to use H3's for reverse lights, I had them in for a while before i mentioned it on a similar thread. I was worried about the bulbs heating up and melting the holder, but that doesnt seem to be a problem with this mod. i have had them in since the summer w/o a single problem.
If you dont have extra H3 bulbs around, dont buy them for this. A better option is the 12v 50watt halogen bulbs used in desk lamps and fixtures, that can be purchased at home depot, they are identicle in size to a stripped down H3, and the leads are a lot tougher.
