Tein SS kit installed

I went to pick up my car today with the newly installed Tein SS Kit. It looks AWESOME! It totally eliminated the wheel gap that I hated. The thing I want to know is, the installer told me "I went by the book for the hours, 4hours on the rear, and 2 hours on the front". Doesn't that seem like alot? Maybe it just took awhile to adjust them where they needed to be or something. Also, how do I get pictures onto a thread?

the whole job should not have taken more than 3 hours, given he knew what he was doing. if this is hte completely assembled kit, then the fronts took even less time. i just did mine this weekend, and it took me a few hours, and that was with my a$$ on the floor and with hardly any tools and the car on jacks. if i had a lift, my job would have been done in 2 hours. EASILY.

What drop are you using now, PoLo? I've always loved what you've done with your Max. It looks great. I actually meant to ask you, what wheels do you have right now? I love those 5 spokes.

i'm on H&R's and Tokico's...unfortunately, the slammed look was great, but it just couldn't handle the NYC streets. i'm going for more comfort ride now, and let me tell you, it's the best...the ride is so soft.
the wheels that i'm on at this moment are 16" 2k wheels but will be changing in a few weeks back to my 19's, which are moda r6's.

thanks for the compliment. spring is around the corner and i'm going through many changes. redoing the system (not many people have seen the new sub box, mix of brushed aluminum and plexiglass) and swapping out the front with a stillip lip.

With a lift and airtools, FASHIZL did all 4 of mine in less than 1.5 hours...

I hear you, I can't wait for spring. I'm just getting the mod list all lined up. Tints go on this week, and then it's a drop and some wheels. Do you have issues with rubbing on those 19s?

oh yes..rubbing all around, but the fronts were so low, it was inevitable, and it was only when i had the wheel turned.
the rears rubbed on every bump i hit, and even worse when i had people in the back. with this new susp., it should get rid of it. but there was def. rubbing. i think it was because my tires are so wide...i cna't say what they are, i don't remember.

someone was ready to buy them, but never followed through, so they're still in my posession, unless someone buys them in the next month, they're going on the car come mid march.

Hmmm...I was thinking about getting a set of the G35c wheels, but how much were you selling the R6s for? I shouldn't be dropped that low, so maybe it wouldn't be an issue. I'll have to do some research...PM me if you get a chance.

the only reason it rubbed was cuase i was dropped that low. the lowest of all the springs (h&r, maxspeed, teins) dropped the car to 25.75" from floor to fender. with my coils, i was 24" all around. i had a drop of about 3.5-4". at that point, it's unavoidable. i was bound to rub.
catch me on aim and we can talk if you're interested in the wheels. fyi, before i stored them, i had them refinished, so they're all in MINT MINT condition, with an extra clear on all the wheels. 1 of them was bent, but the refinishing process straightened everything out.

I have 19's and there is about a half inch of wheel gap. They're set to the middle level of stiffness. The ride is only a tiny bit harder on the bumps, thats all though.
