Replacing Engine Coils

Recently I received the MIL on my 2000 SE with only 29K on it. The code was P1320 and as I have learned from reading and searching this site, it is not uncommon to be replacing the coils at this point in the cars life. After reading many posts regarding this, I have decided to give it a try for myself (I have never done any signifcant auto work before). One poster said that it was a really easy task. Even so, are there any detailed instructions on how to do this? I have searched this site as well as the web as a whole and I have found nothing.

Anyone know of a site or post I have missed?
Thanks!

if you have warranty take it to the dealer... if not it will cost some big $$$. call dave b 1-888-254-6060 and ask him... To replace them is basically like changing the sparkplugs....I don't have instructions but it is an easy job

Thanks for the input. Have a a couple more questions...

I have been looking at ebay as suggested and other online sites that carry the coils and I have noticed that many are HANSHIN coils. This is advertised as the OEM part for the car.

Is this true?

And would I want to buy the same coils as the ones that are currently having issues?

If anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

My warranty didn't cover these which pissed me off. I just did this about a month ago and I had 52k on my car.

Here is the cheapest place that I found to buy the coils, even cheaper then DaveB: http://www.nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com/

I first got coils off ebay and had to return them because they didn't fit... I repeat do not do this to save a few dollars. I learned the hard way and it was a pain getting my money back... Any place you buy Nissan parts from they only sell the new coils so don't worry about that.

I talked to the place I bought my car and they put them in for $45 becasue it takes about a half hour just like changing the spark plugs. Call around and explain this to them and you will get a good deal.

You can PM me with any additonal questions and I will help you the best I can, I know what a pain this is...
