Spk.plug/Ig.Coil change
Well finally after 2 months of getting the P1320 code 3X (engine misfire) I finally replaced all the plugs and coils. The ECC harness condition was fine.
Simple job to perform but the rear ones took slightly longer due to location and that rubber sleeve in the 5/8 spk plug socket kept sliding out and remained on the plug so I glued it back in place and had to wait for it to dry.
I wouldnt wait for 120k to replace the plugs as the mfr. recommends even though I had engine misfires. My car has 87k. The platinum tips were worn. Installed orginal NGK's. I did install the famous grey dot coils and keeping the original ones for back-up if required.
Note: I recommend a torque wrench. Maybe you can feel how much you tighten the plugs by hand but since there's a nice metal seal to prevent external leaks you wanna make sure it's seating properly. 14-22 ft.lb is much force. I torqued them at 18 ft.lb
I took my sweet time: 2 hrs
