Which 5th genner has more tickets then me?

I honestly believe that I am unlucky During the past two years I have probably gotten more tickets then anyone here on the org

My tickets listed in chronological order:

1. Speeding @ 50 mph in a 30 zone: Points
2. Here's a 3 in 1 combo: Speeding @ 80 mph in a 50 zone (points), unsafe lane change (points), failing to signal (pleaded not guilty, won)
3. Running red light: pending trial
4. Tickted for tints
5. Today, ticketed for tints again

I told the highway patrol officer today that my med and background check for the NYPD is coming up. He went back to his car and when came back he said I'll tell your investigator that you were a gentle. A second later a tractor trailer zooms by on the parkway and he says "oh ****, gotta go" and runs back to his car (it was kind of funny and despite my ticket, least I had something to laugh about ). Anyway, just thought I'd share my story.

So back to the question: Who has more tickets then me?

I see this one getting locked, but I have had 3 in the last 3 years (all speeds) - but my attorney helped me get out of the last one.

I've had none. I would advise you, given you've had two for tints, to ummm, remove the tints.

Why would this thread get locked? It's just a general question with no harm intended.

Well... it would probably be a good a idea to remove the tints but I like my tints too much. I can tell you don't like tints though.

rich you leadfoot! sorry to hear about what happened.

i have 2 speeding tickets in the past 2 and a half years. before that i have nothing. one for 78 in a 55 and one for 47 in a 30. pleaded not guilty. got them both reduced to tailgating. took defensive driving (which i highly recommend) to get rid of the remaining points and earn a break on my insurance.

I really need to take the defensive driving course to knock off some points. Once I do that I'll plead guilty for the ticket that's pending a court date since I can't have any open violations on my record before my med and background check with NYPD. Even with the driving course, I will have seven points on my license...boooooo

you need to take the course AFTER you plead guilty or get the tickets reduced and the the points go on your record. the course takes off 4 points in NY and 10% off your insurance. if what you're saying is true then you have 11 points on your license right now?! i thought your license got suspended at 10 points. you must get raped every month when it comes time to pay for your insurance.

I don't know anything about admittance into the NYPD, but it strikes me that a) there must be better candidates than you, and b) you don't have a snowballs hope in hell in getting in. I understand they are looking for barristas at Starbucks, lol!

I'll just not comment on how many tickets I've got, but I will say that I'm calmer with my driving habits now.

Thank you for your touching comments, but you need to explain the part about the barristas at Starbucks, because that job description isn't a part of my vocabulary. By the way, you don't know me so why knock on me?

Oh and I'm sure there are better candidates for the NYPD as well. However, I guess you don't realize that the reason for standards. Even with all my violations, if I meet the standards and I'm qualified it doesn't matter if there are better candidates, now does it?

lol... sorry if you took it the wrong way. I didn't mean to offend you if I did. Btw, I should have added the fact that I wanted to know whether 5th genners received tickets because of their car features also. sorry for being uninformative.

Edit: also, i'm not here to have an owning contest. that's just lame...

What I was getting at, is that your driving record should automatically preclude you from consideration for entry into the NYPD academy until a certain time period elapses to demonstrate that you have turned the corner on your driving habits. Don't get me wrong, I have had my share of tickets, fortunately none for 6 or 7 years, but I just don't see you getting into the NYPD right away, IMHO.

I understand what you're saying, but just as I mentioned before, there are reasons for standards. I guess we will just have to wait and see when my date with the NYPD comes for my med and background check. Also, I said I was unlucky. Do you honestly believe that all cops are unbiased? Some cops specifically target certain cars for the way they appear. Receiving the speeding tickets doesn't indicate that I raced or was driving wrecklessly. If I'm pulled over while driving at the same speed with the flow of traffic, I honestly don't see how that relates to my driving habits. I guess I can't blame you for your biased comments because you don't know me. It's interesting though how people don't give another the benefit of the doubt without even knowing them.

2 tickets in 2 weeks. One was for speeding in Indiana, dont remember how fast, but it was a $60 fine. The other was speeding here on the Waterson Expressway and I got caught doing 84 in a 55.

Oh man... that's pretty rough. I didn't add the fact that I received a speeding ticket in CT last year... but no points for that since it was out of state
