PINGING & timing advance?

I remember quite a bit of people experienced this, mostly mild ping.... & some had some harsh pings as well. Gas grade & other basic stuff was not the solution for it....

My car ping precisely at 1500rpm mildly, im just taking a guess, do you guys think maybe the car is running degrees a bit to high to cause this to happen? instead of the average 15degree?

My mechanic said its not ping!!!!!!! BULL!
Firstly, I want them to get rid of it, but also secondly i want the timing advanced if theres any room left...... hoping it wont ping anyworse, BUT at the same time, increase a bit of performance.

OR if the ping already means the cars timing's already tweaked out, i dont want them to adjust it lower than it already is to eliminate it, to sacrifice performance

What would you guys do?
