Those come with the 1.8 Turbo motor standard now....
With a chip & exhaust only they run 13.9-14.0...
I know because the last time I raced I was talking to a guy with that same setup...he was running consistent 14.0 and his car was completely stock except for the chip/exh....

Adam .. what were your 1/4 miles with the SC?

Do I need 2 go as extreme as a SC?

They've also got the optional V6 (not turboed). I think you can add boost aftermarket. Straight out of the box the 1.8t will give you more hp with less work.

I saw a 1999 GTI w/VR6 being tuned at a local shop. He had a SC that was pushing 325 to the wheels. I personally watched it being dyno'd.

Depends if it was the 1.8T or the VR6. I ran my friends Vr6 last weekend, 2001 model, 5spd, loaded and he is a awesome driver too, he took me by one car to 90 thats it, but at the end I was creeping back. I was ****ed!!!!

I think I saw in Road & Track that Autothority can reprogram a stock 1.8T ECU for an extra 40hp w/out changing anything else.. which would make that car a tiny bit quicker..

The VM V6 can be turbo'ed pretty easily.. I think turbonics (could be wrong on the spelling) makes a kit to do so..

On a side note.. I saw a Beetle with the V6 transplanted into it.. with a turbo for fun.. the guy said .. "around 325 HP" .. interesting.. still wouldn't ever own a beetle.

Hey Russ2kse...
How did my car end up in your driveway?????? Hee hee!!!
It looks similar to my maxima since you have clears for both front & rears..
Good luck!

My sister's boyfriend has the 1.8t & that baby is fast! But during low end only... On the highway, the Maxima rules!

LOL, I just stole yours . Hehehe. Yeah his is fast off the line since he has massive TQ at 2000 something rpm. But highway we haven't run, but I am sure the max will take him.
