Help with hotshot Header install

I got the front and rear manifold bolted up fine, but when mocking up the y pipe i noticed that that the runner on the y pipe that goes to the rear manifold seems like it's a bit short by a 1/2 a inch. When i lift the y pipe up higher to meet the rear manifold it hits the oil pan. I dont guess when everything gets bolted up it sucks itself into postion does it? I guess i will find out tommorw because right now i am dead F###ing tired from working on the beast.

Any tips comments or info would be great

Key to bolting up the Ypipe is- leaving the manifolds loose till the Ypipe is attached to them. Then you tighten the Ypipe to the manifolds, and then manifolds get re-tightened to the heads. My Ypipe fit exacly like it should- and the bracket that attaches via 2 12mm bolts to the oil pan sits exacly centered on the bolt holes, everything aligned up. Did you get the rear bolt out that you PMed me about ? whats the deal with that ?

Yea i got it out thanks for the help, that PB Blaster is tha $hit.

So i guess just by holding the ypipe against the header flanges it will not line up exactly right? I am wondering if i should just take it to a shop and have them install the ypipe because i am f###ing exhausted between installing New blower pulley, emanage, and new injectors.

take a day off man, are the manifolds TIGHT on the heads ? if so thats your problem. Glad PB Blaster worked out for ya, its alot better than WD40. Like I said, U tighten the manifolds to the head when the Ypipe is on. I had mine just barelly loose enough so they would slide around on the exhaust manifold studs. The holes in the headers for the studs have enough room to move the headers around quite alot. Ya catchn mah breeze man ?

Yea but the problem is that headers are still loose on the manifold the y pipe still didn't meet up with the rear manifold( short by about a 1/2". I still don't have the motor realigned to the mounting position but i don't think that would play much of a factor? Any thoughts?

Do you have the headers loose on the heads ? If so then you got a batch of bad headers that don't fit right. I found that lowering the motor- to bolt it up, only positions the Ypipe to the rest of the exhuast system, and does nothing to the header primaries to Ypipe-aligment.
