E-brake

Has anyone had an issue with the e-brake sticking??? I sometimes hear a light humming sound while driving a higher speeds. When I stop to check it out, I pick up a burning smell coming from the rear passanger side wheel. Just wondering if this is a documented problem or just mine

probably not the ebrake sticking, it's probably a frozen caliper piston....it's been known to happen (on all types of cars)....requires a caliper rebuild or a new caliper (which is probably cheaper)........

Thanks Irish. If I take the wheel off, is there any tell-tale signs of a frozen caliper??

visually, probably not.....but if your ebrake cable isn't stuck (unlikely it is), the only other thing that it couldbe is a frozen caliper.....drive around for a while and then see if one of the calipers is "hotter" than the others (this will involve touching the caliper, so do it quick so as not to get burned!)

if you figure out which caliper is bad, look in the FS forums, someone is selling some used rear calipers for dirt cheap!
