Also, anybody have an opinion on the Zinc plated rotors? Does it look any different & do they really keep your rotors from rusting up?

The rotors are not the problem on our cars. It is the garbage pads put buildup and warp them. I wentthrough three sets of rotors/pads til I found this out. I have been running eom rotors now fortwo years longer than any time prior with hawk pads and they run great. Ifyou are looking for a brake upgrade I would just say get brembo blanks since you can get them for prices close to oem then go with a hawk pad. Be sure to bed them right. If you want something more exotic I would recommend going to 300zxtt brake set. If you shop around junkyards etc and get a caliper rebuild kit etc you can find yourself a get set of brakes for cheap. In conclusion, the rotors ARE NOT the problem it is the garbage pads. I believe Irish will back me up on this since he had come to the same conclusion.
Frozen rotors best
Yes, the nitrogen dipped rotors with a specific heating and cooling curve applied are much better than anything on the market. There really is a difference in these super cooled parts. In the industrial tool lines, nitrogen dipped parts can last 10 times longer.
i got brembo blanks and hawk hps, and my brakes squeak and grind like a b*tch after about 20-30 minutes of driving.. even after following the bed in instructions on the box.. then after following other bed in instructions from the org, they still squeak and grind like h*ll.. but i didnt put any anti-squeak stuff on the backs on the pads when i put them in, so that might be the problem... hopefully that takes care of the grinding too because it's really lound and embarassing when it does it.. any suggestions besides the anti-squeak gunk?

wyche89, you were sorta asking for it if you didn't use any of the anti-squeal gunk or spray on the backs of the pads when you installed them. If you feel like taking the pads off, you can probably help the squealing problem a lot by applying some anti-squeak stuff. I find the spray to be quick and convenient. It's easy to put on a thin, even layer, and all you have to do is spray, wait 10 mins, and install the pads.
