Owners with 19-inch wheels, STEP IN!
I was wondering what kinda of issues/problems/benifits any org members have realized with having 19-inch wheels? I might be picking some up and want to know if I should be wary of anything

19" wheels
Only issues I have with my 19" Moda R6's with 255/35/19 is watching out for potholes all day long while driving unfamliar roads. I am seriously considering selling these things. Pm me if any interests for wheels. Also makes your factory disc brake setup look real small. Good things are they fill wheel well up especialy since I have the Stillen body kit and handling is awesome.

What I didn't like about my 19's were that it made the ride rougher than stock, as well as road noise was increased. They look really good in there, especially with a drop, but that road noise and the rougher ride on a 35 profile tire was too much for me.

I'm completely satisfied with my 19's. Ride is a little rougher, but there's a lot less tire with low pro's. Watch out for potholes, though! Doesn't take much to damage a wheel. I just had Illumina's and H-Tech's installed and I love the look and ride. I went for a year without a suspension upgrade and couldn't stand the wheel gap, but the H-Tech's took care of that.

19" wheels look great. Like everyone else said you feel every bump and have to change your driving style. You can't hit potholes or speed bumps like you used to be able to.
I just bent one of my wheels yesterday on the way home! Now I have to buy 1 new wheel to replace it. I'm going to use the bent one as a spare.

There are alot of benefits to going 19" rims and low profile tires. Less tire sidewall flex associated with low profile tires will give you more responsive steering, and better cornering control (of course the key here is to get tires wide enough to improve handling). As for noise, the quietest tire I have ever had (and currently run on all my cars) is the Falken Azenis ST-115's. These are extremely quiet tires!! Great grip and great cornering!! I've had a lot of other tires over the years, and ALL were noisey compared to the Azenis tires. 19's look fantastic on our cars, no doubt about it!!
Many people will mention harsh ride as one of the main issues with 19's. If you live in a part of the country with crappy roads, then be prepared for a bumpy ride (and the potential for bent rims). Here in SoCal where I live and drive, roads are fairly good, so no major problems with harshness for me. Of course there are several ways to mitigate the harsh ride potential. First, don't slam your car!! Go with a milder spring like H&R. Second, get adjustable shocks, so you can dial in the comfort level to where you want it. Approach your suspension/wheel/tire setup as one integrated system, and your results will be more predictable.
In the end, I am very happy with my 19's, and wouldn't change a thing!!

All for 19s. Should have been set standard from factory as far as I'm concern.....well maybe not, then everyone would have them and there would be fewer of us that are different.
Anyways, curbs and potholes are the only thing, but you can mostly dodge them. Learn to drive with them and you'll be fine.

The change in appearance to your car over 17" wheels is worth it to me.

I love my TSW 19''. However, it always seems like I have a flat tire. ( I must check the pressure twice a day) I live in Spokane WA the capital of potholes and grooves in the road. I'm nopt too happy with the toyo Z's I put on it though, but I got the whole deal for 1600.00 from Les Swab so I can't really complain too much.
One question I had though, Are the 19's going to hurt anything on my car like barrings or control arms?
I can't wait til the R34 kit goes on next week though
