installed Cattman catback

very pleased with the sound. at startup, has a nice throaty sound to it, and at idle, i really do enjoy the rumble that it has. much nicer than any car ive had before, especially the ones with the smaller motors (obviously). on the roads, especially below 3K, the car definitley sounds nice. after about 3K or so, the exhaust sound kinda goes away, and the intake roar takes over. all in all, im very impressed, and i love the look with the Stillen kit, very sleek and perfect fitment. i hear a slight knocking, somewhere, when i hit bumps. something is touching something else, but ill deal with that later.

i cant wait til i get the G*D Damn ypipe on, to make sound and flow even better. maybe third time is a charm.

Did you remove the crossmember where the b-pipe is? That's more than likely what's knocking. There have been no adverse effects since I've removed mine, and no more knocking either. You'll enjoy it, I know I do.

Make sure its not touching the shield thats between the body and the rear muffler- its between the spare tire tub and the bumper right above the rear muffler section. When I did my Mossy (same as Cattman) the HS headers pushed the exhaust out bout 1" (same deal with my Greddy) and the piping that goes over the axle was rubbing on the shield. I ditched the exhaust shield.

blackbird, thanks, ill check that out when we lift it up to do the ypipe. puppet, thanks for gettin back to my PM about the damned y pipe. its like a mission for me and my friend now, i just hope we didnt round that bolt too much to be removed. im sure we can use a different one if we wreck that one taking it off, as long as the stud is ok.

once we get this up in the air for the y pipe, i really have to see whats making this noise. im beginning to think that its what blackbird said, the rear heat shield rubbing/touching, since that crossmember is in my trunk now, i know its not that thanks guys.
