I've read the forums about swapping Maxima 3.0's for 3.5's, but can you swap a Maxima 3.0 for a 350Z's 3.5?

Uh, actually the 350z 3.5 motor may be the same, but the mounting points are different and intake manifold due to the RWD vs. FWD. In other words, it can be put in, but you'll need to drill the block, add new motor mounts, and use a FWD intake and headers.

you would have to redesign the bulkhead and chassis to accept the RWD. way too much work for the gains

I'll just stick with getting the 3.5 Maxima engine swap.
