P0335 Crankshaft Position, how do i fix?
The other morning my 2000 SE did not respond to turning the key for the first 3 times, than it started and threw the SES at me. It is showing me the P0335 and Sensor A Circuit malfunction codes. Please help if u can. thanks alot.

Some info for you off the SM:
The crankshaft position sensor (POS) is located on the oil pan
facing the gear teeth (cogs) of the signal plate at the end of the
crankshaft. It detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution.
The sensor consists of a permanent magnet and Hall IC.
When the engine is running, the high and low parts of the teeth
cause the gap with the sensor change.
The changing gap causes the magnetic field near the sensor to
change.
Due to the changing magnetic field, the voltage from the sensor
changes.
The ECM receives the voltage signal and detects the fluctuation of
the engine revolution.
DTC Detecting Condition Possible Cause P0335
-The crankshaft position sensor signal is not detected by the ECM during the first few seconds of engine cranking.
-The proper pulse signal from the crankshaft position sensor (POS) is not sent to ECM while the engine is running.
-The crankshaft position sensor signal is not in the normal pattern during engine running.
-Harness or connectors
-The crankshaft position sensor circuit is open or shorted.
I would think just replacing it would solve your problem and I dont believe you'll need ECU reprogramming but ask your local dealer for technical help.

I have a p0335 on my 2002 SE 6spd. I got the electromecanic at work to check the car for normal operation. He inspected the crank sensor and tells me ot works as intended, no faults. The car studders and feels like a big fuel when cold around 3500rpm. like I tap the brake under acceleration while having my right foot on the gas and tapping the brake with the left foot. As soon as the car gets at normal temperature, it works just fine and pulls hard.
When the car stays on the CEL a longer time than I take to scan the ecu and remove the code with the genesys scan tool, the car feels like in limp mode and begins to spend gas like crazy. think 3.5gallons for 60miles!!! (14l 100km) of normal below 3500rpm use. I called the nissan dealership and gave my vin number and the racall has been made on the car a long while ago, in 2003.
After reading on improper soldering on the circuit board was the purpose of the cel, I consider changing the ECU. But, will I get the same code on another faulty ECU purchased with no return accepted???
My question is: What would you guys do to solve and eliminate the problem??
I also having the ''higher than manucfaturer intended air fuel mixture CEL'' and ''higher than manufacturer intended idle speed CEL'' on the long term registered CELs in the ECU for your informations...

I just replaced my engine and when I got it started the SES light for P0335 came up. Checked all the wiring and it was all good. I replaced the CPS and the light is still on. Anyone have any suggestions at this point? I would rather not take it to the dealership.
change the other one @ the front of the engine @ the crankshaft pulley!
Had the same issues with my '02 Maxx.......found out it was a recall. They replaced the Crankshaft and Camshaft Sensors due to the recall at no charge. Ride has been fine ever since.....so call Nissan to find out if you VIN# is part of that recall.
I already called them and they said I didn't get the recall. I have checked the readings on all my sensors and they all seem to check out fine. When I did the swap I put the original sensors in, then I thought they might be bad so I swapped them out for the new engine ones I had and still a problem. Is it possible that my ECU could be going?
