HOW-TO: Perfectly cover-up trunk holes after debadging. ***PICS***
Ok, so I finally decided to fully debadge the max, which went fairly well...until I removed the NISSAN hamburger. There are two mounting holes in the trunk which need to be filled once it is removed, and here is how it was done...
This image shows what is left one the hamburger is gone
Start by taping up the outside of the holes using painters tape. Make sure you prep the surface with alchohol to ensure proper tape adhesion.
Next, mix up a small glob of bondo. You can get this stuff at Advance for $15/gallon.

YOU WILL ONLY HAVE A WORKING TIME OF 4 MINUTES!!! So get ready. Put some rubber gloves on an push some globs of bondo over the holes. Do this by applying the bondo through the rear of the trunk...it is quite easy to get to. Allow to cure for 30 minutes,
Remove the tape. It should look like this...

will this process work to fill up the holes on the front bumper left by a license plate? if so, i have another question - the holes each have bits of drilled plastic from the bumper sticking out. before applying the tape, i'd need to even out the bumper. do i just use sandpaper?

Seemy2k2go is right about the bondo thing. I'd give it 3-6 months before the bondo falls off the back. You have to prep it propery first or find something better than a flat surface to attach the bondo to. JB Weld may have been a better choice for this. Just a thought.
