ground control coilover setups step inside!>>!>!!>
has anybody with a 5th gen used ground control coilovers? if so, hows the ride? are they worth the money?
I've got them, running them with koni yellows in the front and kyb agx in the rear. I got them off blackbirdvq, they're a decent setup if you're not looking for the full adjustability of the jic's and tiens. If i had the money, i would have gone with the jic's or teins, but its a decent starter setup with adjustability.
The ride is considerably stiffer (have the shocks put up about 3/4 of full firmness) but the handling is much better. Now I can get the car to be more tail happy (kicks out a little more) and that's without a rsb.
Again, if you have the money, go with the jic's or teins..they offer more adjustability for just a couple hundred more.

i think its because not alot of people are using the d2's yet. im going to most likely stay with my current setup which will be the s-techs and the illuminas, i simply asked because in the event i wanna go lower the shocks are going to be brand new (so new they arent even here yet).wanted to keep my options open. teehee
well I really thought alot of peeps jump on the D2 deal ... I use to be a former member at the alty site , before I reitred my ride ..there was a good # of guys that placed the order for the D2s for the altimas.. I figure with so many Maxi owners that they would jump on the D2 GD last year.
At least the Maxis had options for full coilover kits compare to the Altimas suspension part.I was going to order a set for the Altima but decide to retire from the import scene.Altho I did manage to order the D2 for my Max.I guess I see how the ride is when I get it in a few weeks.. BTW 30585 /I see your on the FSS board as well.
