i have these too, i had them for about 2 months now, maybe a little less. no complaints, looks very nice, and much better than stock performance. im using the Hawk pads and im pleased with the stopping. i cant compare to new stock pads and rotors tho, cuz mine were pretty wore when i got them (rotors). as was said before, the customer service is awesome, you get a nice ORG discount, and stickers!

i'll chime in as well. i've had these for about a year now. i'm surprised people are just finding out about these. they were selling these for a LONG time. and there was a group deal awhile ago on these. i know i paid like 99 for the rears and 129 for the fronts, plus shipping, so it was roughly $260 shipped as well. i've had them on with 2 sets of pads so far and they feel great. no warping and i've put them through some heavy braking. just my 2 cents.

and yes, i bedded them properly. i rode it soft for about 2-300 miles before i really started using them.

I set up a GD with them well over a year ago for $159 a set shipped for the front rotors.... They were the only ones out there that had them at the time as well..

Tell Ann she still owes me a set of brake pads for setting up the original deal on them.

I just spoke with anne at Irotors and she said we can get a Group Deal goin (5-10) maxs or more discount could be 10%-15% on the rotors and slight discount on shipping she said to check ebay for shipping calculators but roughly $46 or so to the east coast $30-$35 to mid west and $20 or so to CA and other west coast ALL DEPENDS ON REGION. as of now for a 2003 maxima a set of (4) is $249, fronts only are $139 and rears only are $129. im definatly in for a set of rears Dont flame me because this isnt in the GD forum if the mods want to move it go ahead I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

What would be the cons against getting sixth gen rotors and calipers, especially if they bolt right up and fit behind 2k2 2k3 stock 17" wheels.

I could see why it's not good for 2k 2k1, because they would have to get different wheels to clear the bigger calipers, but for the 5.5 gen, what would be the main reason not to do it?

whenever my rotors get warped, i'm thinking about switching to 2k5 rotors and calipers.

I just would like to know what are the drawbacks?

Put it this way.....no one is stealing those wheels. You will have to take the entire car!!!! They are the McGuard Spline Drives with the Spline Drive Locking Lug. Basically, I have to use a tuner lug (internal hex) to get the wheel straight on the lugs and then use the special spline tool to get all the other lugs on. I then remove the tuner lug and replace with the locking lug. Takes a little bit extra time but gives me a little peace of mind.

Very nice write up. Funny thing is that I tried to use a "soft" hammer to remove the rotors but I found that it's easier to give it a little tap with a 2.5# sledge and they come right off. Must be the resonating metal knocking off the rust.

Before you drop $300 on those rotors, try out Raceconcepts rotors. They are cross drilled and slotted, and silver zinc plated. I have them on my 2k2, and they are a nice oem replacement. $150 for all four rotors, and they are made in the US, using Brembo blanks (I've heard). I run them with Hawk pads and they are great. the only drawback is the additional unsprung weight (which is only slightly noticeable), and the aforementioned wheel clearance issue. This is much more of an upgrade in braking over the irotors or any x-drilled or slotted OEM-size rotors. The 6th gen pads have almost 50% more pad area than the 5th gen pads do, plus the larger rotor dissipates heat better. Mine have been put to the test in auto-x (with Hawk HPS pads, ATE blue fluid, and SS lines) and performed admirably. I probably have about 5-10K miles on them now and nary a shimmy, shake, "warp" or any other problem...

here's another pic of the McGard spline drives on mine, you can maybe see a little better (or maybe not)....and before you start flaming, the "wheel gap" is because the car is still partially up on the jack
