I am new here.

I just got a 2000 Maxima auto GXE (no fogs, no spoiler) 91k miles.

I relaly wanted a stick but this car was very clean and everything works and looks great.

Looks like the took good care of it but now I want to make sure I do the righthitng.

What things can I check or look for?

Any known issues?

I think I should change the coolant, transmision fluid, air, oil&filter and maybe next year the spark plugs?

Any belts or chains that need to be looked over?

I would laso like to update few things, like install the fog lamps, any place that would have similar ones for reasonable price?

How hard is to plug an amp in the factory system?

I really like the car a lot, too bad is not a 5 sp .

Did they give you the receipts for all major work done, accidents(if any), etc?

 

Welcome to the org! First place to look is in the FAQ's, there is a lot of good info there and browse the threads for the past couple of weeks.

I got my Max in Feb (and arrived here as well)..there are tons of people here with alot of knowledge about maximas..

but check out all the stickies. there are tons of basic questions answered.

Can't really blame people for not wanting to type the same thing a bazillion times!

 

I bought my 2k max se w/ 96k on it off ebay last month, only prob was one of the ign coils was bad, ses light came on, dealer off ebay told me to bring to mechanic too check it out, p1320 ignition signal (1 of the coils could be bad), called the dealer, he shipped me 6 oem nissan coils straight from dealer in texas, he also sent me $175 for mechanic.
now the car is running great....
