To increase your times, hold the E-brake to slow you down or run 87 octane. To decrease your times buy mods or work on your launches.

First off Hunter you already have a VI, 2nd there is not a ECU available for your year model. Check your VIAS to make sure it is working(see the 5th gen stickies). If i were you i would get a upgraded clutch and flywheel and a b pipe. You could do a nitrous kit for a reasonable price. To really open up the 3.0L maximas potential for big power you need to go Forced Induction. If you want to have a fast car you have to pay to play

we can all increase our times much more easily! try this mod, when you pull up to the tree, shut the car off. let the tree begin and when the light turns green, start your car back up , shift into 1st or drive ( manny or auto ), accelerate slowly and cruise your way to the finish line at the end of the 1/4. if your local track lets you have people in the car as you go down the track, bring your buddies for the ride too, with all the windows down! you probably wont need a chute to slow you down for this run either, so leave the plastic bags in the trunk!
