yes you will need to splice into the speakers for the rca output . run a line to the trunk from both rear speakers. dont forget to also re hook up the speakers. purchase a inline rca adaptor from a shop like bestbuy etc for 20 bucks and there u go...

I have this setup. No problems at all. Factorys are still good, the Bass does not drown them out and I'm running a 400w RMS Pioneer. You do not need a PAC adapter. Especially if you plan on getting a newer deck in the future..I have no probs..

PAC AOEM-NIS2 (or similar such adapters) plug in directly at the headunit and give you 2 sets of RCA outputs to replace the whole system. If you only want to add subs, another way is to get an amp that accepts speaker-level inputs and has sub-outs or get a cheap speaker-level to RCA converter and use the factory sub wire for the connections.

Actually, I took the Bose rear sub wiring and spliced into that. There is power, rca single channel line level, and a remote lead hook up....You dont need any adapter.

yup do that, this is what i did before i changed out the speakers and added a ch4 amp.....IF your going to add a 4 ch amp and a mono block, get the PAC....that will add front and rear outputs.....then your 4 ch amp should have a pre out so you can add on the mono block to that....
