My Tranny Dying?

Well... I have an auto SE with 90k miles...

Here is the problem.... I just installed my intake.... and I noticed that my shifting is kinda slow...

When I press my feet on the gas to hit it... It would reach about 4k rpm... and suddenly slows down and goes up to almost 5k rpm and shifts... the speedo seems to go up so slowly... because it's stuck on first gear and keeps reving... until finnaly it hits 2nd gear and everything does the same until the 3rd gear but not as mad as the 1st gear....

I'm not sure if this is a tranny problem or MAF problem....

Here are somethings I am going to do to see if it's gonna get better...
-Change Oil
-Change Spark Plugs
-Add Fuel Injector Cleaner
-Check All Fluids

I hope it's not my tranny slowly dying :-(

that's a good question ..... I also saw it at www.courtesyparts.com

but what you describe doesn't sound at all as a tranny issue.

Adding Strength To Maf Issue

This Is A Maf Issue, You Don't Need Me To Tell You That You Had All These Other Guys Telling You The Same Thing But, My Question Is I Went To That Site That Was Posted Up To Buy The Maf.

I Want To Know If The Maf Is Something I Can Just Install My Self Or Do I Need Someone To Put It In Every Time?

I Mean Can I Play This By Ear Without The Computer Hookup?

What Horsepower Does That Maf Max Out On?
I Don't Want This To Happen Again To Me, My Mechanic Charged Me A Bunch Of Money To Fix That Maf Last Time.

If you do it yourself it will take you less than 20 minutes to install with your eyes closed. You will need a special bit to remove the screws

No, I'm pretty sure what he says is that when he stomps on the gas... rpms go up and the tranny hesitates before shifting, which sounds like what is happening to you. Unless I read the thread wrong. Anyways, I'm sure someone who has had the same problem should be able to help ya, so hopefully one of em will stumble across this thread. I had the same problem on my VW 3 years ago, but I traded it in for the Max before the tranny died...
