Fast Cat and Cattman catback Installed

Received and installed Cattman Fast Cat and Cat Back today. SOUNDS LIKE A CHAMP. Sounds like a beefy sports sedan. A bit louder but similar to a hopped up Audi sound. Nice tone. Can't hear it at highway over the stereo. Sounds mean when you get on it too. I blew by a cohort of mine in third gear and he gave it two thumbs up. Has anyone had it ride like a 1/4 inch from the bumper? Very happy so far, install of pipe is a cakewalk really. Fit and finish is EXCELLENT. Especially after you get done unporking the old pipe. So far so good. I took both of the crossmembers out. They ride really close to pipe. Watch out for the heat shield on the fast cat. Whoever packed it at Cattman didn't watch it and they left a good smear of their DNA on the can. Yuck.

awesome man....you anywhere near nashua? i got headers and a hi flow cat to install, but i'm a little reluctant to attempt it by myself...

i put a cat back and cai on my maxima and it ran like crap and i found that i needed the MAFS upgrade so i took care of that and it ran like a maxima should run. then in stalled a high flow cat and y pipe and the car is an absolute PIG. i would say easily a 30hp loss at the wheels EASILY. anyone know what could be wrong? no CEL, no pinging. i only use 93 octane. after 1/4 throttle just seems to not do anythign at all. gas milage is same as always was 20 city 22-24 highway. have since put about 2000 miles on it, someone told me the cat needs 1000 miles to break in so ive done that already. any ideas guys?????? i cant stand driving this thing anymore as slow as it feels. im getting eat up by single cam hondas. thats not right

1. Please be considerate to the thread starter and post in a thread that's at least somewhat related to your problem.

2. Have ya done a search for your issue before posting? Maybe search for "hesitation" or "power loss" or something?

3. Could be your coils?

Yeah I am down in Milford every now and then. I am up in the Lakes Region. I have no idea how tough the headers are. I do know that getting my old cat off required a little torchin' to get off some rusty bolt. Potential rust plus tight space. I think the headers require the right space and tools then it is doable. The high flo cat the biggest issue would be the bolts. What cat did you get?

i would but the retarted way to post and search is you have to have 15 posts before your allowed to do so. im not trying to make spam on the threds, just tired of my car running like a piece. i have all 6 new coils and plugs. i have done all the tsb's and problems these cars have. its a mystery to me whats wrong. i even checked the butterfly valves and there fine. the piece isnt broken at 108k miles

Well you live in Meredith? I can definitely show you my setup. It is my favorite thing to do anyway. My name is Lincoln...I work in Meredith so just call me any day but Mon/Tues. My no at work is 279-9966. I get out of work at 600PM.

Do you have a ruff idle, and ruff acceleration(you feel the engine in your gas pedal and dead pedal) when you floor it does it drive fine but when your slow its horrible?

NOCturnalI30 - it had a rough idle, i put seafom in the tank and cleaned the TB and took care of that problem. thengine runs smooth. not feeling in the pedal or dead pedal. slow speed and high speed driving is fine. seems like anythign after 1/4 or 1/3 throttle and it doesnt have any more power after that. no matter what rpm. the car accelerates better with minimal throttle. all vaccum hoses are good, i was told there is an in tank fuel filter??? i havent changed that if there is one. its not liek my 96 that had a filter under the hood. i put in new oxygen sensors cause they were bad. i have the updated mafs. i dont know what the deal is

check the throttle body i know on my old car had the same problem and the throttle was getting stuck

NAh no group deal I was in a spendy mood and ordered the cat/cat back and sway bar from Brian. I spent 230 on the cat.

Thanks mang....Brian emailed me the dyno from his car with this, looked to be very good gains. At that time it was still in the R&D phase. Didn't know the actual reveiling date, but now I'm going to have to pick one up. Let me know if you have any issues with it in the future.
