ABS and Slip problem.

Ok, here is the deal....

Last night on the way home I was getting off of the highway (in the rain) and I applied my brakes. When I applied them I got this horrible sound from my front brakes and it felt like the ABS was kicking in.... so I say

after I pull off of the exit ramp it stops doing it so I figure it is a fluke.

After leaving the Hospital today (My mommy has a pierced lung) it starts to do it again at all speeds, then on the dash my ABS, TCS Off, and Slip lights all light up and the brakes work fine again (I guess because my ABS is off). The lights dont go off so I pulled over turned the car off and restarted it.

Lights are now off, however, the ABS is going crazy again... so I call my brother (he is a mechanic) and tell him what is going on. He thinks it is the front wheel bearings throwing off my ABS. So I get on the highway and when I hit around 65 I get a shake in the wheel and the lights come back on....

I think he is correct about the wheel bearings, I just want to know if anyone has had this problem?

If so, what fixed it?

I have a similar problem. The dealership said it was ABS sensor. About $75 CND to replace. My problem only occured when I drove the car thru a couple of inches or more of snow.

edit: I went back and looked at my previous post about this issue. It was the ABS relay that was at fault.

I will have him look at that as well then... I wanted to have the front bearings replaced soon anyway, so I will prob. just have him replace the bearings and see if it still does it.
