how to find out when you are buying piaa's bulbs on ebay is not a fake product of Piaa? i have been searching around on ebay to buy a set of H3 and H4 piaa super plasma GTX. but i am not fully sure if those bulbs are originaly from japan or are duplicate product of piaa? does anyone know any store or website where i can buy the original japanese piaa's bulbs?

 

If you are going to go the PIAA route, go to optionauto.com, they have good deals on the bulbs. However, I wouldn't recommend them. The 02-03 housings are prone to cracking, and using a brighter halogen bulb can generate more heat. Not saying that is the only reason they crack, but HIDs run cooler and probably safer. I bought the Helios 6000k kit for 245 shipped. Couldn't be happier. Great output, easy setup, and much better look and output than my Super Plasmas. No cracked housings yet either.

 

thanks but mine is 2k1 and cant afford the HID kit for now so thought of using piaa's for temporary solutions. i heard those who are using super plasma for thier fogs have had no issue so far.

Suvlights.com also sells capsules but they are H4, 9003, not h3. They are $9 a piece, just another option

So your using oem bulbs? Somehow, I missed that part. The sucky part about H3 bulbs is that, in my case atleast, one usually blows every 3-4 months. I swap 'em both out when that happens. So the Lexus capsules, with inexpensive OEM bulbs..... rather good option

i just bought some diamond whites from autoilum...should be close to silverstars for $8.99 a set plus shipping...i'll post pics when i install them.
