Have fun with it. It makes your car run much better. I would get this over a chip anyday because so far aside from some chip benefits on the autos as far as shifting and rev limit stuff you have more control over the motor with the SAFC and it is adjustable. There may be some benefits I have not heard of by replacing the ECU and finetuning it with the SAFC but I am not interested myself enough to research it.

MadMaxNH got me to thinking... and now I find myself wanting to ask a noob question... so I think I will.

First of all, I know what the SAFC is and what it does, so I'm not asking for an explanation of how it works or anything. I just want to know if the Technosquare ECU reflash addresses the A/F problems that people are using the SAFC to correct on the stock ECU. I would love to get the SAFC, but I'm also saving for the TS ECU upgrade. If the TS ECU corrects the A/F ratio, then the only reason to get the SAFC would be to have adjustable control over the A/F ratio if you change your car's mods after getting the TS ECU.

Well the way I looked at it was this. I am told Technosquare asks you to tell them what mods you have on your car and they get the program that their research on a broad array of Maximas said to be the best. The SAFC is custom tuned to YOUR motor. Specific areas that need improvement can be individually adjusted at 12 points in 200 rpm increments. Then you adjust the correction for that rpm point +- 50%. Infinitely adjustable.

hmm so the 5.5 gens as harmonbone stated have sucky a/f ratios... do the 3.0's also suffer from this?
