Technosquare ECu
Technosquare ECu
Curious, has anyone here purchased a technosquare ECu for their 5.5 Gen? if so were the results worth it. I am debating spending the money, only thing is right now other then my pop charger it is all stock. so should i purchase it now or wait till i have opened the exhaust up a little more?? sorry if this is a repost, did a search could not find anything relevant to a 5th gen 3.5.
Keep in mind that my results for the catback+TS ECU are skewed a bit becuase I told TS ECU to tune it for intake+catback and took my GAB off to test it. I think it was a bad idea becuase it threw the A/F off and thus I dont think it is representative of the amount of power the TS ECU (full spec) will give a catback+intake maxima. After adding the GAB I gained good poower over a large section and at peak gained 9whp/3wtq.
With just an intake you are probably not gonna see or notice much. However I would definitely suggest you buy the L-spec TS ECU (or something similar) in the future along with SMT-7 (or something similar)... you know after you get some headers. Being that the price of the full spec TS ECU is similar to that of hotshot headers... I would definitely go with the headers. You are looking at maybe an 8-10whp/8-10wtq gain with the TS ECU (full spec) vs 20+whp/20+wtq with the HS headers. With your stock B-pipe, cat, and muffler you are not gonna see a big jump in noise during normal driving. Also if you get the 02 sims you avoid the rewiring/CEL problem and can still pass E-check (if you have it in your area).
