Exhaust Noise Drone
I have an older Greddy Cat back and stock cat. I have waiting for an install: Warp Y-pipe, magnafolw, resonator and cat, and I'm going to re-install my Greddy muffler. The new Magnaflow B-piipe is bigger then the older Greddy so that may help a little. I was just curious as to why so systems drone at higher speeds in higher gears.
Part of the reason why the GReddy drones so much is because the resonator is tiny compared to other cat-backs; Cattman, Frankencar, Mossy. I had the GReddy Evo myself and it drones up till 2500 rpms... so the reason why you're getting it in the higher gears is because you're probably just cruising at or below 2500 rpms in those gears... and maybe in your local driving you're pushing the lower gears up past 2500 rpm so ya don't hear it as much. You'll hardly hear the drone if you're in 5th or 6th and over 2500 rpms.
